Apple Worm Levels 101-105 - Endgame Planning Guide
8/3/2026
Levels 101 through 105 sit at the end of the current 105-guide collection. They reward the same fundamentals as early stages, but there is less spare space and a wrong setup can remain hidden until the final approach.
This guide focuses on how to study the endgame set. Use the individual walkthrough pages for the exact video solution.
Treat Each Attempt as Three Puzzles
Break a late level into:
- Setup: position the body while the board is still flexible.
- Commitment: collect the apple or enter the constrained route.
- Exit: preserve the exact angle needed for the portal.
Do not continue into the next phase unless the worm matches the shape you intended. A bad setup cannot usually be repaired during the exit.
Study the Portal Before the Apple
In the endgame levels, the portal approach is often the strictest constraint. Identify the final head direction and the space required by the body. Then trace backward to determine which side of the apple supports that final shape.
The direct apple route is especially suspicious when it points the head away from the exit.
Use a Checkpoint Sheet
For each level, note four facts:
- starting head direction;
- safe apple approach;
- first post-growth turn;
- final portal entry direction.
These notes are more useful than a long list of arrows because they explain the geometry. If you forget a middle input, you can often reconstruct it from the next checkpoint.
Review One Level at a Time
Use the dedicated walkthroughs for Level 101, Level 102, Level 103, Level 104, and Level 105. Watch the complete run once, then return only to the phase where your attempt diverges.
Finishing one level with understanding is better preparation than copying all five in sequence.
Manage Fatigue
Long attempts become less accurate after repeated failures. After three identical mistakes, stop and describe the cause. If you cannot identify it, take a short break or watch the relevant checkpoint at slower playback.
The Final Lesson
The last five guides are not about discovering a secret new mechanic. They test whether you can combine backward planning, tail clearance, growth awareness, and precise portal alignment without losing track of the whole route. That combination is the real endgame skill.
